Wolfgang Gust

Wolfgang Gust (born 1935 in Hanover) is a German journalist, historian, author and chief of heading for magazine ''Der Spiegel''.
He studied Romanistik in Freiburg, Bonn and Toulouse (France) and marketing and management in Hamburg. Starting from 1965 he was with the news magazine of the mirrors - first as economics, then he became a foreign editor. Starting from at the beginning of 1970 he went as a chief correspondent to Paris; in 1977 he became a deputy foreign boss, 1981 directors/conductors of the department of Mirror Book. After adjusting the book series Gust was an editor in the series department and author of the series of Bergkarabach and the genocide. Since 1993 he still currently works as a free lance journalist and author. So far the Armenian Genocide and Imperium of the Sultan appeared. A history of the Osmani realm, both with Carl Hanser publishing house.
Gust had examined the 1919 Protestant minister Johannes Lepsius, he published documents of the German foreign office and stated that in many documents by omissions and falsifications above all the German joint responsibility of the Armenian Genocide he had been hushed up. He published the wording of the original documents including English translation as well as the individual manipulations in armenocide.net in co-operation with its wife in March 2000. Three years later, he published hundreds of further German Auswärtiges Amt documents in the same portal to the Genocide 2005 appeared a selection of the most important documents in the book the Armenian Genocide 1915/16.
In Germany, the Garbis Papazian prize, given to support non-Armenians who contribute to the propagation of Armenian causes, was awarded to German scholar Wolfgang Gust.
